- LiVES is now in debian testing.
Debian users can now install LiVES just by typing "aptitude install lives". - The LiVES 1.0.0 fundraising drive was hugely successful. We met and exceeded the target of $7500. Thanks to Linuxfund for helping to organise this. Donations are still welcomed to support ongoing development and maintentance, and to send LiVES developers to Free Software events.
- Linux journal has an article about the LiVES 1.0.0 release, and a review of LiVES 1.0.0-pre1.
- LiVES was nominated for a Sourceforge Community Choice Award, in the category of Best Project for Multimedia.
- The official LiVES 1.0.0 release is now available from the downloads page.
- Salsaman and VJ pixel were at Campus Party Brazil 2009. Here are some short clips from pixel's show.
Upcoming LiVES events
- I (salsaman) am currently developing LiVES in Recife, Brazil. If anybody in Brazil or other parts of South America would like to arrange a workshop or demonstration, please get in touch. I can speak excellent Spanish and Portuguese.
